Gruyeres, Switzerland

Gruyeres was slightly harder to get to, compared to our Montreux day trip. From Geneva, we caught two trains and a bus, only to realise that Google Maps had dropped us an hour’s walk from where we wanted to be. Luckily a friendly local was happy to drive us the rest of the way.

Gruyeres is a medieval town nestled up in the hills, and is the home of Gruyeres cheese. The town looks like it’s from a story book, with the little cottages lining the streets, people serving cheese fondue and incredible views in every direction.
